Ribosome Extraction Kit

Ribosome is a kind of ribonucleoprotein particle in cells, mainly composed of RNA and protein, its only function is to synthesize protein polypeptide chain from amino acids according to the instructions of mRNA, so ribosome is a molecular machine for protein synthesis in cells. Ribosomes have no membrane structure and are mainly composed of protein (40%) and RNA (60%). Ribosomes are divided into two categories according to the sedimentation coefficient, one (70S) exists in bacteria and other prokaryotes, and the other (80S) Present in the cytoplasm of eukaryotic cells. Some of them float inside the cells, and some are grouped together.

Ribosome Extraction kits can be used to extract ribosomes from various animal cells and solid soft and hard tissue samples. The ribosome extraction kit (low-speed centrifugation method) only needs to reach a centrifugal force within 20,000×g to extract ribosomes, and the general conventional desktop centrifuge can meet the requirements. The ribosome purity obtained by the low-speed centrifugation extraction kit will be lower than that obtained by the high-speed centrifugation method.
