Perl's Prussian Blue reaction is also called hemosiderin staining. It can produce Blue color after treatment with potassium ferrocyanide and dilute acid. It is common in phagocytes and in the interstitium and mainly displays ferric iron. Salt. The principle of dyeing is: the potassium ferricyanide solution causes the ferric ions to be separated from the protein by dilute hydrochloric acid.
