Mycoplasma staining solution (Dienes staining solution) is a classic reagent for detecting mycoplasma contamination by azure methylene blue staining. It is often used for apoptosis detection of cultured adherent or suspended cells and tissue sections. The range of cell content detected by this reagent is generally between 0.1 and 1×106.
