Bacterial Viability/Toxicity Assay kit

The kit contains two fluorescent dyes, NucGreen is a green nucleic acid dye that can stain live and dead bacteria; EthD-III is a red nucleic acid dye that only stains dead bacteria with damaged cell membranes. The combination of NucGreen and EthD-III has the ability to distinguish between live and dead bacteria. Bacteria with intact cell membranes appear green, while bacteria with damaged cell membranes can appear green and red under different channels, respectively.
