Urine Protein Content Detection Assay
An increase in the protein content in the urine indicates a weakening of the reabsorption function of the renal system and can usually serve as an auxiliary basis for the clinical diagnosis of kidney disease.
Protein precipitant and Ponceau red dye are added to the urine sample. The protein-dye complex obtained by centrifugation can be dissolved in an alkaline solution. The protein content of the sample can be calculated by detecting its absorbance at 560 nm.
