Urea Nitrogen Activity Assay kit
Urea is the final product of the decomposition of nitrogen-containing compounds in the organism, and is decomposed and converted into ammonia under the catalysis of urease. Blood urea nitrogen is one of the main indicators of kidney function.
Under alkaline conditions, urease hydrolyzes urea to produce ammonia, which reacts with hypochlorous acid to produce chloramine, and then reacts with phenol derivatives to produce green indoxyl, with a characteristic absorption peak at 630nm.
