Tris-HCl [1.5M; pH 8.8]

1.5M Tris-Cl, pH 8.8 is a concentrated buffer solution of tris(hydroxymethyl)aminomethane (Tris) at a concentration of \(1.5\) molarity, which has been adjusted to a pH of \(8.8\) with hydrochloric acid (HCl). This solution is a critical component in molecular biology and biochemistry, most notably used to prepare the resolving gel for SDS-PAGE and other protein electrophoresis techniques. It can also be diluted to create working solutions for other applications like protein purification, enzyme assays, and preparing various buffer systems, such as Tris-buffered saline (TBS).
