Soil Lipase Activity Assay kit

Lipase (LPS), also known as glyceride hydrolase, catalyzes the hydrolysis of triglycerides to fatty acids and glycerol (or diglycerides and monoesters). It plays an important role in soil biodynamics. LPS catalyzes the hydrolysis of oil esters into fatty acids. Using copper soap method to determine the rate of fatty acid formation, the LPS activity can be calculated.
