Soil Laccase Activity Assay kit

Laccase is a copper-containing polyphenol oxidase, belonging to the copper blue oxidase family. It is widely distributed in fungi and higher plants. It has strong redox ability and is used in pulp biological bleaching and environmental pollution. Biodegradation and lignocellulose degradation, as well as biological detection has a very wide range of applications.

Laccase decomposes the substrate ABTS to produce ABTS free radicals. The absorption coefficient at 420nm is much greater than that of the substrate ABTS. The increase rate of ABTS free radicals is measured to calculate the laccase activity.
