Safranin stain solution [1%]

Safranin also known as Safranin O or Safranin T or Basic Red 2. It is a cationic dye that can bind to multiple anions. It has a coloring effect on basophilic cartilage matrix, nucleic acids and lignified cell walls. It is often used with Fast Green to differentiate osteoblastic cartilage, and can also be used to differentiate between cellulose cell walls and lignified cell walls. In addition, it can also be used with Alcian Blue for mast cell staining. It can be used for single staining, or combined with other reagents for various experimental designs such as cartilage differentiation staining, lignification differentiation staining and mast cell staining according to customer needs.
