RPMI-1640 [High Glucose - 4.5g/L] w/ Sodium Pyruvate
RPMI 1640 is a widely used cell culture medium developed at the Roswell Park Memorial Institute in 1966. Originally created for culturing human leukemic cells, its versatile formulation has made it suitable for a broad range of mammalian and primary cell cultures.
RPMI 1640 with high glucose is a cell culture medium formulated with 4.5 g/L of D-glucose, significantly higher than the 2g/L found in the standard version. This modification is designed to provide extra energy for rapidly proliferating cells, such as cancer cells and some types of immune cells, that have high metabolic demands.
*All cell culture media & supplements are available in standard pack size of 500mL (liquid) and 10 x 1L (powder sachets). Bulk packing in powder form is also available on request.
