Reticulin stain kit (gomori sliver method)
The principle of the improved gomori reticular fiber staining is to use the fact that ammonia silver solution is easily adsorbed by tissues and combined with tissue proteins, and then reduced to black or brown-black metallic silver by formaldehyde, which is deposited in the tissues and on their surfaces. In the traditional method, gold chloride is used to adjust the color after reduction, and then sodium thiosulfate solution is used to wash away the unreduced silver salt on the tissue. This improved method omits this step, making the reticular fiber contrast clearer.
Reticular stain (modified Gomori ammonia silver method) mainly undergoes oxidation, bleaching, mordanting, silver immersion, and reduction steps. It is often used to identify the nature and origin of tumors, cancer and sarcoma, lymphosarcoma and reticulum cell sarcoma, hemangioendothelioma and hemangiopericytoma, Ewing's tumor and reticulum cell sarcoma, meningioma and astrocytoma, malignant schwannoma and early invasive cancer, etc.
