Reduced Glutathione Content Assay kit

GSH is the most important antioxidant sulfhydryl substance in cells, and plays an important role in antioxidant, protein sulfhydryl protection and amino acid transmembrane transport. The ratio of reduced form to oxidized form (GSH/GSSG) is the main dynamic indicator of the redox state of cells. Therefore, measuring the content of GSH and GSSG in the cell and the ratio of GSH/GSSG can well reflect the redox state of the cell.

DTNB reacts with GSH to form a complex, which has a characteristic absorption peak at 412nm; its absorbance is directly proportional to the GSH content.
