Recombinant Protein L
Protein L is a protein that is isolated from Peptostreptococcus magnus and can bind to immunoglobulin. The recombinant Protein L is expressed by Escherichia coli retains the same protein as the antibody kappa chain binding properties without affecting the antigen-binding site of the antibody. Therefore, compared with protein A and protein G, protein L can bind all kinds of immunoglobulins (IgA, IgD, IgE, IgG and IgM), and can more widely bind antibodies of various species. Protein L binds very weakly to rabbit immunoglobulins and does not bind immunoglobulins of bovine, goat or sheep origin. Protein L can also be combined with single-chain antibody (scFv) and Fab fragments, which has a wide range of applications
