REAL-Prep™ Mitochondrial DNA Isolation Kit
REAL-Prep™ Mitochondrial DNA Isolation Kit is designed for the isolation of intact and purified mitochondria from animal cells or tissues. It is suitable for the extraction and preparation of mitochondrial DNA from animal soft tissues (liver or brain tissues), hard tissues (muscle), and cultured cells. It is not suitable for the extraction of plant or other specimens.
The key to mitochondrial DNA extraction is to remove nuclear DNA as much as possible. This kit uses differential centrifugation to obtain relatively pure mitochondria and then employs a multi-step process, including DNA digestion and lysis buffer system, to remove nuclear DNA, ultimately yielding pure mitochondrial DNA. It is suitable for experiments with high purity requirements, such as PCR.
