Protein Carbonyl Content Assay kit

Protein carbonyl is an early indicator of a variety of amino acids in the process of protein oxidative modification. Its content indicates the degree of protein oxidative damage and is the main indicator to measure protein oxidative damage.

The carbonyl group reacts with 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine to generate red 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazone with a characteristic absorption peak at 370nm.
