Propidium Iodide solution [1mg/mL]
Propidium Iodide (PI) is membrane impermeant and generally excluded from viable cells. PI is commonly used for identifying dead cells in a population and as a counterstain in muLticolor fluorescent techniques. PI is often used in conjunction with fluorescent probes such as calcein-am or FDA to identify living and dead cells. The excitation and emission wavelengths of the pi-dna complex were 535nm and 615nm respectively.
It is a 1mg/mL concentration. When used, the product is directly diluted to the working concentration with the corresponding solution according to the experiment.
