Proline Dehydrogenase Activity Assay kit
ProDH is a key enzyme in the mitochondria that catalyzes the degradation of proline. Reducing the activity of ProDH is important for regulating osmotic balance and preventing osmotic stress. It is of great significance for plants to cause damage, scavenge free radicals, and protect cell structure. ProDH catalyzes the dehydrogenation of proline to produce pyruvic acid, and the removed hydrogen is transferred to reduce 2,6-dichlorophenol indophenol through phenazine dimethyl sulfuric acid (PMS).
(DCPIP), and has a characteristic absorption peak at 600nm. The reduction rate of 2,6-DCPIP is measured by the decrease in absorbance at 600nm, which represents ProDH active.
