Phosphofructokinase Activity Assay kit
PFK (EC 2.7.1.11) is widely present in animals, plants, microorganisms and cultured cells. It is responsible for converting fructose-6-phosphate and ATP into fructose-1,6 diphosphate and ADP, which is the glycolysis process One of the key regulatory enzymes.
PFK catalyzes fructose-6-phosphate and ATP to produce fructose-1,6-diphosphate and ADP, and pyruvate kinase and lactate dehydrogenase further catalyze the oxidation of NADH to NAD+ in turn. Measure the rate of decrease of NADH at 340nm. Reflects PFK activity.
