Pectin Lyase Activity Assay kit

Pectin lyase (EC4.2.2.10) is an important part of pectinase, a depolymerase that can degrade plant cell walls and cause plant tissues to soften or even die. Pectin lyase acts on the alpha-1,4 glycosidic bond in pectin to generate unsaturated oligogalacturonic acid with unsaturated bond between the reducing end C4 and C5, which has a characteristic at 235nm Absorption peak.
