N-Acetyl-beta-D-Glucosidase Activity Assay kit

N-acetyl-beta-D-glucosidase (EC 3.2.1.52, N-acetyl-beta-D-glucosidase, NAG) is widely distributed in various tissues and is a fine intracellular lysosomal enzyme. Measuring NAG activity can be used for renal tubulointerstitial nephritis, urinary tract infection, diabetic nephropathy syndrome, hypertensive nephropathy, kidney transplantation, early diagnosis of rejection and nephrotic syndrome.

NAG decomposes N-beta-acetylglucosamine to generate p-nitrophenol, the latter has a maximum absorption peak at 400nm.
