MOPS-SDS [1x powder sachet]
MOPS-SDS appears as white to off-white instant granules. Each pouch is composed of Tris, MOPS, EDTA & SDS; and can makes 1L of 1x stock solution conveniently with a simple procedure.
It is a protein gel electrophoresis buffer commonly used in biology labs that is suitable for normal SDS-PAGE of proteins. It is especially good for PAGE with the Bis-Tris buffer system. With Bis-Tris based protein gels, it provides good electrophoresis results of medium to large molecular weight proteins. The 1x concentration includes 50mM Tris, 50mM MOPS, 1mM EDTA and 0.1% SDS.
Method:
1. Put magnetic stirring beads and ~600mL distilled water into a beaker.
2. While stirring, slowly pour the whole contents from 1 pouch of MOPS into the beaker; wait until everything is dissolved.
3. Add distilled water to bring the volume to 1 L and 1x solution is made
