Medium 199 w/ Earle’s Salts, Stable Glutamine, Sodium Pyruvate & HEPES

Medium 199 (M199) is an early, complex cell culture medium containing a balanced mix of amino acids, vitamins, salts, and other compounds. It is widely used for cultivating non-transformed animal cells, vaccine production, and virology. M199 typically requires supplementation with serum or growth factors, and can include either Earle's or Hanks' salts depending on the CO2 requirements for the cell culture.
