Laccase Activity Assay kit

Laccase (CE1.10.3.2) is a copper-containing polyphenol oxidase belonging to the copper blue oxidase family. It is widely distributed in fungi and higher plants. It has strong redox ability. Bleaching, degradation of environmental pollutants and degradation of lignocellulose, and biological detection have a very wide range of applications.

ABTS, the product of laccase decomposition, produces ABTS free radicals. The absorption coefficient at 420 nm is much greater than that of the substrate ABTS. The growth rate of ABTS free radicals can be measured to calculate the activity of laccase.
