HEPES-SDS [1x powder sachet]
HEPES-SDS appears as white to off-white instant granules. Each pouch is composed of Tris, HEPES & SDS; and canmakes 1L of 1x stock solution conveniently with a simple procedure.
It is a running buffer for protein gel electrophoresis due to its components providing stability and high-resolution protein bands, and it is also used in various diagnostic kits for DNA/RNA extraction and PCR. The 1x concentration includes 0.1 M Tris, 0.1 M HEPES, and 0.1% SDS
Method:
1. Put magnetic stirring beads and ~600mL distilled water into a beaker.
2. While stirring, slowly pour the whole contents from 1 pouch of HEPES into the beaker; wait until everything is dissolved.
3. Add distilled water to bring the volume to 1 L and 1x solution is made.
