Golgi Protein Extraction Kit

Golgi Protein Extraction Kit provides a complete set of reagents suitable for Golgi extraction from a variety of animal cells and solid soft and hard tissue samples. The protease inhibitor mixture contained in this kit prevents the degradation of protein by protease and provides a guarantee for the extraction of high-purity protein. Golgi apparatus (Golgi bodies) is an organelle whose main function is secretion, composed of many flat vesicles. Also known as the Golgi apparatus or the Golgi complex; the Golgi apparatus is a highly polar organelle formed by several flat vesicles stacked together. Often distributed between the endoplasmic reticulum and the cell membrane, it is arcuate or hemispherical, and the convex side facing the endoplasmic reticulum is called the forming face or the cis face. The concave side facing the plasma membrane is called the mature face or trans face. There are some large or small transport vesicles on both the cis and trans sides. In polar cells, the Golgi apparatus is often abundantly distributed in the cytoplasm of the secretory end. Because it looks very similar to the smooth endoplasmic reticulum, some scientists believe that it evolved from the smooth endoplasmic reticulum. The enzymes in the Golgi are mainly glycosyltransferases, sulfo-glycosyltransferases, oxidoreductases, phosphatases, protein kinases, mannosidases, transferases and phospholipases. The main function of the Golgi apparatus is to process, compare, sort, and package the proteins synthesized in the endoplasmic reticulum, and then classify them into specific parts of the cell or secrete them outside the cell. The protein extracted by this kit can be used for downstream protein research experiments such as Western Blotting, protein electrophoresis, immunoprecipitation, ELISA, transcriptional activity analysis, Gel shift gel retardation experiment, and enzyme activity assay. The protein extracted by this kit is the active protein with the native protein conformation.

This kit does not contain EDTA, therefore this kit is compatible with downstream applications such as metal chelation and chromatography.
