Glutamate Synthase Activity Assay kit
Glutamate Synthase (GOGAT) is distributed in plants and forms the GS/GOGAT cycle together with glutamine synthetase, which participates in the regulation of ammonia assimilation.
GOGAT catalyzes the transfer of the amino group of glutamine to alpha-ketoglutarate to form two molecules of glutamic acid; at the same time, NADH oxidizes to generate NAD+. The decreasing rate of absorbance at 340nm can reflect the activity of GOGAT.
