G6PDH Activity Assay kit

G6PDH is widely present in animals, plants, microorganisms and cultured cells. It is a key enzyme in the pentose phosphate pathway. It catalyzes the oxidation of 6-phosphate glucose to 6-phosphogluconolactone and at the same time reduces NADP+ to NADPH for biological use. Used to synthesize and maintain the reduced state in the cell. Therefore, the activity of glucose 6-phosphate dehydrogenase can reflect to a certain extent the biosynthesis and antioxidant capacity of the living body.

G6PDH catalyzes the reduction of NADP+ to generate NADPH, and the rate of increase of NADPH is measured at 340nm.
