FMRF-like peptide, pEDPFLRF-amide, was originally isolated from the ganglia of Helix aspersa and is about 100 times more potent than FMRFamide on the heart of Helix. Furthermore, it acts as a cardioregulatory hormone, since it occurs in Helix blood at levels sufficient to affect the heart.
