DPX Mountant

DPX mount is a synthetic resin mounting medium used in histology to preserve specimen slides for microscopy. The acronym stands for distyrene, a plasticizer (originally dibutylphthalate, now often tricresyl phosphate or other safer alternatives), and xylene. It replaces older mounting agents like xylene-balsam.
