Dextrin 6FF Beads

Dextrin Beads 6FF (Fast Flow) is a highly cross-linked 6% agarose gel matrix for the purification of maltose-binding protein (MBP)-tagged proteins. MBP promotes the correct folding of connexins and increases the solubility of fusion proteins overexpressed in bacteria, especially eukaryotic proteins. Dextrin Beads 6FF can purify the MBP fusion protein in one step, and the bound fusion protein can be gently eluted with 10 mM maltose, protecting the activity of the tagged protein. If the MBP fusion part is to be removed, it can be cleaved with a site-specific protease.
