Dehydroascorbic Acid Content Assay kit

Dehydroascorbic Acid (DHA) is an important physiological indicator of plant cells, its DHA content, redox status (AsA/DHA ratio) and its synthesis and metabolism related enzymes. Changes in activity involve the response of plants to a series of environmental stresses. DHA is the reversible oxidized form of Dehydroascorbic Acid, which is combined with ascorbic acid in the body. Redox system has the role of electron acceptor. DTT reduces DHA to produce Dehydroascorbic Acid. By measuring the rate of Dehydroascorbic Acid production in the system, the DHA content can be calculated.
