DAPI solution [1mg/mL]

DAPI (4',6-diamidino-2-phenylindole dihydrochloride) is a fluorescent dye that binds to most of the A and T bases in DNA and is commonly used for fluorescence microscopy. Because DAPI can penetrate intact cell membranes, it can be used for staining of living cells and fixed cells. When DAPI binds to double-stranded DNA, the maximum absorption wavelength is 358nm and the maximum emission wavelength is 461nm. The emission of DAPI is blue, and the emission wavelength of DAPI and green fluorescent protein GFP or Texas Red dye (red fluorescent dye) is only partially overlapped, and this feature can be used to perform multiple fluorescent staining on a single sample.

It is a 1mg/mL concentration. When used, the product is directly diluted to the working concentration with the corresponding solution according to the experiment.
