Cinnamic Acid 4-Hydroxylase Activity Assay kit
Cinnamic Acid 4-Hydroxylase also known as trans-cinnamic acid-4-monooxidase, is an enzyme that catalyzes the formation of cinnamic acid into coffee beans and coumaric acid. C4H is mostly found in higher plants and yeast. Among fungi, it belongs to the key enzyme in the middle of cell lignin synthesis pathway.
C4H catalyzes cinnamic acid and NADPH to generate 4-coumarate and NADP. The decrease rate of NADPH can be measured at 340nm to reflect the C4H activity.
