Cell Freezing Medium-Glycerol [w/ Glycerol & FBS; w/o Phenol red]

This Cell Freezing Media is a ready to use, a convenient alternative to in-house freezing media and can be used for a wide variety of mammalian cells. The formulation is prepared in Dulbecco’s Modified Eagle Medium, contains 10% Glycerol and foetal bovine serum (FBS). Glycerol acts as a cryoprotectant and prevents formation of ice crystals and prevents cell damage. It is ready to use and does not require further addition of any other reagents.

This cryopreservation medium can be used for hardy cell lines that are less susceptible to freezing damage. Users are advised to test the suitability of the medium for sensitive cell lines.
