Autophagy/Cytotoxicity Dual Staining Assay kit (MDC method)
Autophagy/Cytotoxicity Dual Staining Assay (MDC method) is suitable for autophagy staining of cultured cells, also known as MDC staining solution, can be combined with EB for double staining.
Autophagy is a process in which cells are stimulated to swallow their own cytoplasm or organelles, and finally degrade phagosomes in lysosomes. Autophagosomes are round or elliptical structures covered by a double-layer membrane. Contains cytoplasm, long-lived proteins and abnormal protein aggregates, damaged or redundant organelles such as mitochondria, rough endoplasmic reticulum and microbodies, viruses and bacteria.
Monodansylcadaverine (MDC) is a fluorescent pigment and an eosinophilic stain. It is usually used to detect the formation of autophagosomes with a specific labeling stain. The detection excitation filter has a wavelength of 355nm. The blocking filter has a wavelength of 512nm.
