ATP Citrate Lyase Activity Assay kit
ATP-citrate lyase (ATP-citrate lyase, ACL) is a key cytoplasmic enzyme that catalyzes the production of acetyl-CoA from citric acid. Acyl-CoA is the main raw material for synthesizing lipids such as fatty acids and cholesterol, and can participate in the modification of related important proteins. It is a substitute for energy substances in the body.
In the presence of ATP and coenzyme A, ACL can catalyze the cleavage of citric acid into acetyl-CoA, oxaloacetate, ADP and phosphate. Hydrogenase further catalyzes the production of malate and NAD+ from oxaloacetate and NADH, resulting in a decrease in light absorption at 340nm.
