alpha-MEM w/o nucleosides; w/ L-Glutamine

Minimum Essential Medium Alpha Modification is known to be alpha-MEM, enhanced version of the original Minimum Essential Medium (MEM). It is a nutrient-rich culture medium used to grow a wide variety of mammalian cells. It contains all the components of standard MEM but is further enriched with additional vitamins, amino acids, and other supplements,.including Non-essential amino acids, Sodium pyruvate, Ascorbic acid (vitamin C), Biotin, Vitamin B12, and Lipoic acid (antioxidant cofactor).

In addition, alpha-MEM is available in two primary formulations to suit different experimental needs:
With Nucleosides: contains deoxyribonucleosides and ribonucleosides.
Without Nucleosides: contains a mutated or deficient dihydrofolate reductase (DHFR) gene, such as DG44 cells. It requires DHFR-negative cells to produce their own nucleosides.

*All cell culture media & supplements are available in standard pack size of 500mL (liquid) and 10 x 1L (powder sachets). Bulk packing in powder form is also available on request.
