Alkaline Phosphatase Activity Assay kit
Alkaline Phosphatase is a zinc-containing glycoprotease that can hydrolyze various natural and synthetic phospholipid monoester compounds in an alkaline environment. AKP/ALP is widely distributed in various organs of the human body, mainly the liver.
In an alkaline environment, AKP/ALP catalyzes phenyl disodium phosphate to generate free phenol; phenol reacts with 4-aminoantipyrine and potassium ferricyanide to red subquinone derivatives.
There is characteristic light absorption at 510nm; AKP activity is calculated by measuring the rate of increase in absorbance at 510nm.
