Normal Rabbit serum
Normal Rabbit Serum (NRS) is used as a blocking agent in immunoassays like immunohistochemistry and flow cytometry to prevent non-specific antibody binding. It also serves as a control or reference material for rabbit serum proteins.
While using, dilute the blocking serum stock solution 10 or 20 times with PBS (0.01mol/L pH7.2-7.4) to make a 10% or 5% working solution, and drop it directly on the tissue slice or cell smear Incubate at 37°C for 10-30 minutes, remove the serum, do not wash, add dropwise primary antibody working solution diluted in appropriate proportions, incubate at 37°C for 1-2h or 4°C overnight.
