Normal Donkey serum

Normal Donkey Serum is used in immunoassays, such as immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence, to reduce non-specific binding and serve as a control. It functions by blocking background staining and the non-specific binding of antibodies, particularly from the Fc receptors on a sample. The serum is typically diluted in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) (5-20%) and applied to tissue or cell samples before the primary antibody incubation.

While using, dilute the blocking serum stock solution 10 or 20 times with PBS (0.01mol/L pH7.2-7.4) to make a 10% or 5% working solution, and drop it directly on the tissue slice or cell smear Incubate at 37°C for 10-30 minutes, remove the serum, do not wash, add dropwise primary antibody working solution diluted in appropriate proportions, incubate at 37°C for 1-2h or 4°C overnight.
