HAT Supplement Solution is a liquid mixture of hypoxanthine, aminopterin, thymidine (HAT) for hybridoma cell selection. It is used for the preparation of selection medium for hybridoma. The myeloma cell is deficient in the enzyme hypoxanthine-guanine phosphoribosyl transferase (HGPRT) or thymidine kinase (TK) and cannot survive in HAT selection medium.
