Ham's F-12 w/ Phenol Red & Sodium Pyruvate
Ham's F-12 (or F-12) nutrient mixture is designed on the basis of Ham's F-10 (F-10) nutrient mixture. It is a widely used cell culture medium designed in 1969 for serum-free culture of CHO cells, and it remains a foundational component of many other culture media, such as the nutrient-rich DMEM/F12 mixture. Its complex formulation, containing amino acids, vitamins, and inorganic salts, suitable for single-cell culture and clonal culture when the serum content is low. After serum is added, it is also widely used in the culture of tumor cells and primary cells, into rat hepatocytes, rat prostate epithelial cells, chondrocytes, rat myoblasts, chicken embryo cells, etc.
