Cell Freezing Medium-DMSO [w/FBS; w/o Phenol Red]
This Cell Freezing Media is a ready to use, a convenient alternative to in-house freezing media and can be used for a wide variety of mammalian cells. The reagent is designed to protect and preserve cells during frozen storage.
The formulation is prepared in Dulbecco’s Modified Eagle Medium, contains 10% DMSO and foetal bovine serum (FBS). DMSO acts as a cryoprotectant and prevents formation of ice crystals and prevents cell damage. It is ready to use and does not require further addition of any other reagents. The medium does not contain antibiotics.
This cryopreservation medium can be used for hardy cell lines that are less susceptible to freezing damage.
